MMI is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer.
The Electronics Engineer will design, implement and verify electronic hardware for medical robots and their components. He/She must be able to report progress and milestones relative to the overall development project.
Core Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the position will be design and development of complex electronic boards including powering and communications lines in a robotic system equipped with sensorized and motorized axis. Additional responsibilities include contributing to multiple areas of electronic development such as:
- Test and debug of electrical system
- Operating electronics measurement equipment & Perform System Test
- Execute of V&V campaign starting from protocols definition
- Write Technical documentation
- Coordinating the procurements of components and external services
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineer;
- Professional background in robotics and automation industry designing electrical system for actuation of motors and motion/force sensing.
- Experience designing complex printed circuit boards (PCB);
- Knowledge of power electronics, driver for electric motor control, signal amp and sensors acquisition;
- Experience selecting and integrating off-the-shelf components;
- Professional use of CAD systems (Altium preferred);
- Strong ability to isolate and debug embedded hardware problems;
- Comfortable with all phases of the product development lifecycle including design, implementation, debug, verification, qualification, and transfer;
- Strong inter-disciplinary understanding of mechanics, manufacturing, control and software;
- Good communication and documentation skills, generation of formal design documentation, review, and control;
- Excellent written and oral communications skills;
- Professional written and spoken English;
- Experience in electronic design and development accordingly with medical device ISO regulation is a plus.
