D-Orbit is looking for a candidate to join our Hardware Engineering and actively follow Digital board Electronic design. He will be responsible for activities related to FPGA design, development, simulation, testing. Support the System, Software and Manufacturing engineering teams throughout the full product development life-cycle, supporting PCB outline, component placement and routing process. Follow technical data exchange with suppliers and support manufacturing during board assembly and test. Participate to other HW Engineering activities involving both requirements definition, electrical design, verification and testing.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible of the entire design of Digital electronic boards targeting FPGAs, SOC, from requirements to schematic definition, VHDL code, procedure management and tests coordination.
  • Lead PCB outline, layer setup, component placement and signal routing requirements for, Digital High speed and Mixed-Signals applications.
  • Lead interface with PCB services suppliers.
  • Keep up with and know industry and space standards and technologies.
  • Work with Hardware Engineers and manufacturing team for development and sustaining of current products.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Work experience of at least 4 years in space/automotive/medical industries.
  • knowledge of VHDL.
  • Experience with Libero SoC and Vivado toolsuite.
  • A self-starter and highly motivated with strong organizational skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work in team and individually;
  • MSc degree in Electronics or equivalent practical experience
  • Fluency in Italian.
  • Full professional proficiency of English language is mandatory

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Altium designer tool.
  • Experience with Spice simulation tool.
  • Familiarity with electronic components, especially digital systems (memories, buffers, drivers, FPGAs).
  • Proficiency in using electronic test equipment (oscilloscope, power supply, etc.).
  • Preferable experience in testing and debugging electronic boards.
  • Proficient with high-speed and mixed-signals design and validation.
  • Proficient in requirement management for high-speed digital design.
  • Knowledge of Signal Integrity SW (Ansy SI wave).
  • Knowledge of ECSS standard is a plus.

Language:

This role requires professional proficiency in English.
