Join us as a Software Engineer - Back End Developer

What you will be doing

Joining Satispay means being a leader of change and innovation. This role will create experiences for you to deliver, learn and grow in a sustained high growth environment.

As Software Engineer you will be designing, developing and deploying systems ready to scale with our growth while maintaining the best quality. We are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to experiment with back-end technologies (lot of Java) and who is also passionate about DevOps tools.

This role is based at our headquarters in Milan, where - along with all the key people - as an active member of Satispay, you will become part of the IT team and build the products and features to make Satispay the best payment system available. We are constantly figuring out what our users really need, add new features into existing products, and create entirely new products. You’ll own your work from the whiteboard all the way into production.

You have:

• 5+ years of experience
• Analytical approach and logical thinking
• Passion for IT and curiosity for tech products
• Fluent knowledge of Italian and English - both written and spoken

Our stack differs depending on the projects you are working on. It ranges from Linux, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Java, Jersey, Spring, Dynamo DB. We also use AWS to for our infrastructure, composed of a set of RESTful microservices deployed on EC2, using RDS/Dynamo DB for db persistence, S3 for file storage and AWS Lambda for serverless functions, Kinesis and ElasticSearch for log streaming.

You are:

• Highly organized and able to work both in team and independently
• A very quick learner and adapts fast
• Enthusiastic about taking on new challenges and to work under pressure in a fast-paced international environment
• Proactive thinker, with the ability to 'think outside the box'
• Results-oriented, easy-going, entrepreneurial and passionate about your work

Knowledge of French or other European languages is considered a plus.

Logistic & Salary

The role is based in Milan, Italy with a hybrid work policy.

Based on experience, the first gross annual salary will be up to € 30,000.00 per year for junior profiles and up to € 70,000.00 per year for senior profiles, which will then be adjusted according to the results already after 6 months.
