About Us

Sibill was born with the vision of making business finance simple for SMEs. Our mission is to help European SMEs simplifying everyday financial management. We want to empower entrepreneurs with better organised information,  quicker bookkeeping and transparent access to great financial products, from payments to credit solutions.

We are a team of engineers, product managers, designers and data scientists that compound years of expertise in fintech and software products at Klarna, BUX, Credimi, Doctolib and more. We have worked with SMEs for years, we know their problems well and we solve them with data, technology and design. Born in summer 2021, we've raised funds from tier-1 international investors (e.g. Founders A/S, investor in Pleo🦄 , Kontist) and we have ambitious goals that require the best team.

What we look for

We want to build an exceptional team and hire talented developers, SREs, data engineers and designers. We want to have a diverse, inclusive and remote first technology team to build and grow Sibill as a product and as a company. And we want to have fun doing it.

Right now, we’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our development team either remotely or at our office in Milan.

As one of our first hires, you'll be one of the cornerstones upon we will build our culture and stack and you will grow with us.

What you will do

• You will work with our CTO to design our platform and shape the architecture.
• You will work on delivering the product Sibill provides, which might include:
  • synchronizing large amounts of data through integrations with external APIs
  • building our own APIs for internal and external clients
  • adding features and refactoring our backend systems
  • fixing bugs and ensuring everything runs smoothly
• You can contribute in other areas, like frontend apps or infrastructure.

Our tech stack

• We mostly develop in TypeScript (Frontend), Elixir (Backend) and Python (data).
• Our platform is deployed on AWS via infrastructure-as-code with Terraform.
• We do CI/CD through automated pipelines on Github from PR to deployment.

What you will need

• At least 7 years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of OOP/FP paradigms, algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with RDBMS, message brokers and key value stores.
• Concepts of Systems and Networking architecture, DevOps methodology.
• Experience in building and maintaining complex systems.
• Fluency in English

Compensation

70-90k salary (based on seniority) + Employee Stock Option package.
