What This Job is About

Mindesk is seeking a Web Developer with 5+ years of experience, responsible for the development of Mindesk’s cloud solutions, license management system, website, online store and other web-related endeavors. This role reports directly to the Chief Executive team. This role may require travel for field activations of projects. In addition to the core responsibilities, to succeed the candidate must be an excellent problem solver, great team player, cool-minded when under pressure, able to quickly identify/communicate/solve issues while coordinating action with diverse stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Work with product management to roll out the cloud components based on given specifications
• When required, independently integrate and/or develop specifications
• Help in updating/restructuring the license management system to accommodate new features
• Improve/maintain the online store integration with the license management system, user dashboard and analytics
• Occasional website maintenance or aesthetical refresh
• Provide management with regular status updates and documentation
• Occasional coordination with other companies in the group and/or vendors

Required Skills

• Excellent knowledge of technologies for managing relational and non-relational databases, database management and access
• Good knowledge of load balancing and clustering mechanisms; experience with scaling data management and data exchange speed
• Good knowledge of client and server side security issues (authentication, data protection, etc...)
• Mid to senior level skills with JavaScript, Python and PHP development
• Experience technologies such as FeathersJS, ReactJS, MongoDB, Django, WordPress, WooCommerce, as well as WordPress plugin development
• Good front-end design skills
• Proficiency with written and spoken English language

• In case of emergency, you are able to find creative solutions and workarounds to a problem
• Experience in SaaS would be a big plus
• Experience in UI/UX development
• Comfortable in using Google Apps, BitBucket, Github, DigitalOcean AppPlatform, Jira, Clockify, and other tools
• Familiarity with one among German, Spanish, French, Italian, Mandarin or Japanese languages would be appreciated
• Availability to travel occasionally
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (optional)
